Japanese-owned Sistemas de Arneses KyS Mexicana, part of Sumitomo Corporation, is investing more than 590 million pesos to expand its automotive manufacturing operations in Aguascalientes, installing its most advanced plant in the Americas focused on next-generation aluminum wiring harnesses. The project strengthens Mexico’s role in the USMCA automotive supply chain by boosting regional content, introducing lighter and more energy-efficient components, and creating specialized, high-quality jobs in one of the country’s key industrial hubs.
