Through a statement, it was detailed that the Taiwanese company will build a new plant in Ciudad Juárez, which is expected to generate one thousand new high-value jobs. The project aims to strengthen Chihuahua as a strategic point in the semiconductor industry and consolidate its leadership in the manufacturing of electronic devices.
State Governor Maru Campos stated that her administration offers the necessary stability conditions to attract new investments. The governor commented that the state concentrates nearly half of the circuits produced in the country and more than 185,000 citizens of the state work in this industry.
Maru Campos emphasized that this administration provides the necessary stability and support to attract new investments that generate prosperity for the state.
During the project presentation, the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, Ulises Fernández Gamboa, accompanied Kun Ling Yang, CEO of Pegatron Mexico.
The official explained that the project will be developed between 2026 and 2029 and includes a new specialized plant in Ciudad Juárez, focused on manufacturing electronic components for electromobility and data center technology.
“Pegatron’s decision to continue growing in Ciudad Juárez demonstrates the confidence in Chihuahua and in what we can build together. This investment means greater production capacity, high-value jobs, and a long-term commitment to our talent and the industries that are transforming our economy,” stated Fernández Gamboa.
With this investment, Pegatron reaffirms its confidence in Chihuahua, strengthens the presence of Taiwanese companies in the state, and consolidates Ciudad Juárez as a strategic hub for advanced manufacturing and global supply chains.
