Nike plans on manufacturing more USMNT jerseys after reported shortages

The Athletic reported last week that retailers selling USMNT merchandise made by Nike - such as Dick’s Sporting Goods, the official US Soccer store, and more - are showing a limited availability for the jerseys.

The Athletic reported an anonymous source told them Nike is asked by retailers to make more jersey ahead of these events, but the company ignores the request.

Nike is the official partner of U.S. Soccer Federation, which means Nike is responsible for keeping enough jerseys in stock.

In a statement to KCTV5, Nike said, “New stadium jersey’s are arriving and being prioritized for markets hosting matches in the coming days. Supporters jerseys are in the marketplace now, both online and in stores, with additional volume planned ahead of the tournament’s next phase.

The men’s team beat Bosnia-Herzegovina Wednesday night, advancing them to round of 16 where they will play Belgium on Monday night.
